Well, actually some banners are sort of pun on iichan.ru, but nothing really offensive. And they were doing exactly the same at iichan.ru for some time already, in fact the whole "opposition" thing came from iichan.ru.
What we do sometimes is discussing silly bans, which we can't do at iichan.ru's board intended for that as it's admin is deleting even the most harmless threads and not willing to communicate. The DDOS thing is a 100% pure city legend that Ranofag is trying to prove true here and at iichan.ru, it was discussed at /unyl/ and everyone agreed there is no poing in doing so.

If the IP changes between reloads, you're behind a proxy. This unfortunately confuses the captcha. I'll have to think about it a bit, but there's no obvious solution short of resorting to HTTPS (which will cost me $).

You may want to check how often your browser verifies images are fresh.
E.g. with Opera you can set images to expire differently from HTML. While setting images to never expire speeds things up on *chan boards, it also means that you'll need to reload the captcha image manually.
Consider right-click -> reload image in whatever browser you're using.

why did you suddenly strip file limit to 1Mb in unyl and limited file types to images/torrents? was there a problem with bigger file size and option to upload flash?
After some internal discussion it was decided that /unyl/ is primarily a discussion board, and that the 10MB limit wasn't needed.
The problem with the old 10MB limit is that -- with the current software -- it can be abused by trolls. Since legitimate posters on /unyl/ rarely post something larger than 1MB, it's safer to drop the limit. Large files can be linked from file-hosting services.
If I knew it couldn't be abused, I'd happily let you guys have 100MB limits and any file in the world. It's a balancing act, unfortunately.
I'm not sure how useful SWF support is with a limit of 1MB.
Of course, if you think this is a bad idea, feel free to debate away.
i'd agree with "trolls" issue if there would be any such issue. it might be abused by trolls, but i don't remember this on unyl. the only case i remember - issue with mp3s, but after it was made clear that board space is constant, users themselves agreed that it's bad practice and asked to wipe mp3s from the board.
taking into account that mp3 issue, extended file size looks like feature wanted by users. the reason why it's not possible - board space limit. that's sad, but currently unyl has 16 pages and (correct me if i'm wrong) it's far (really far) from the limit.
option to upload archives looks good too even with 1M limit (i've personally used it). now, in case if i need to upload archive, i need to create rarjpeg or something.
so, i don't know from where this "trolls" idea came up. the only discussion i'm aware of is http://wakachan.org/unyl/res/33477.html and there is apparently only one person who is bitching about upload limit. i assume that's the same person who gave you the idea about stripping file limit, and i personally think, that's the actual troll trying to annoy everyone.
i think that if someone would try to abuse board with large files, it will be clearly visible and can be fixed with just deleting large files and banning the poster. looks like the usual issue with spammers/trolls to me.

1Mb file size limit is a nice thing as /unyl/ as stated above is primarily a discussion board. If you don't want picture-only threads that take up 90% of space, it's the best you can do. Although I think we might still allow zip/rar-files to make it a bit more obvious when you look for some file posted a while ago as rarjpegs really do look like pictures :3

Pictures do take 90% of space, if someone creates a picture-only thread old threads get deleted and we can do nothing to that person without dmpk2k's help and if the person who posts hi-res pictures is pushy enough it's too much of a hassle.

Do you have at least one good reason why we should have a ten meg limit in general purpose board? Any picture to go with a post should be below megabyte and /unyl/ is definitely not a board dedicated to hi-res pics.

He'll need an ocr with e.g. 80% success and several hours to wipe the board completely with current limit and he needs only 8% success rate if we leave it as high as 10 meg. But it's not for wipe protection it's just that no one needs the possibility to upload ten meg files really, what is the point in setting the limit that high?
