Ok, I don't blame anyone here... but I wonder what makes a thread to be deleted? I mean, Lucky Star has people posting at least one every day...
Ultimately it comes down to whether the admin of the board wants to keep hosting a board. Since iichan consists of boards run by many different people, we have no control over that.
If someone wants to host a new Lucky Star/Nanoha/whatever board, they're free to host it and ask it to be added to the sidebar. I think there's a few too many boards already though, so there's no guarantee it'll be added.
Consider making a Lucky Star thread in /a/.
or /niche/
I would be willing to host if someone can come up with a succinct description how Nanoha, Lucky Star, (Haruhi), etc. are all related.
... Oh, I got one -- "Anime"!..... wait... that's already a board.
In all seriousness, I really don't see much reason for having boards for every series.
(Though, if someone does come up with a good name for a Lucky Star / Haruhi / Nanoha board, I'd put one up. Maybe also K-On... Azumanga... Railgun/Index...)
For Lucky Star and Haruhi (Possibly for some other series too) maybe we can put them all into one "KyoAni" (Kyoto Animation)?

No, sorry. /unyl/ has a history of being attacked.
The captcha is there to protect the board from simple crap-flooding and spam bots. It can't prevent an attack, but it makes it a harder and more annoying for the hostile user.
I'm interested in hosting a chan board. I've set up wakaba before and I have a domain set up so I'd like to know if there's anything I can host. Either way Higurashi and Umineko are going to get a spot.
Have you considered the history of specific series boards dying due to lack of interest? /a/ is a better venue for such specific matters.
My advice to you is examine the adult /niche/ board, and determine whether there is a perversion of such popularity that it deserves its own sub-board.
If someone would make an adult /monster/ board that would be nice.
There are some mega-threads about them in /happy/, yet /happy/ really isn't the board for that. I'm too carebear to nuke them, but I'd like them to go.
iichan.net and wakachan.org are different sites with different front pages, but many (if not all) of the boards they link to are the same. Can somebody clarify to me why that is?

The owners/admins of the individual boards are just people who make a board and then basically ask iichan/Wakachan to link to it, right? Is there a place that describes in a little more detail how iichan/Wakachan, managerially speaking?
iichan.net and wakachan.org both host boards and point at other boards (including each other). They're there so that if one host goes down, it's still possible to reach the rest of the network of boards. There's also communication between both.
So, there's little difference in practice. We're just a bunch of people with a strange hobby.

This is a reminder to treat heavy posters well. Please remember when enabling captchas to also put in exemptions for the heavy posters on your board. Not only does it encourage them to keep contributing the content that keeps the board alive, but it's a nice thing to do for people who often have more invested in the board than you do.
I'm bringing this up because it's come to my attention that Sling is having a hard time. All the boards hosted on wakachan.org have had Sling's -- as well as other heavy posters' -- tripcode in an exception to the captcha for years. Apparently I'm the only person doing this, which is not good.
For those of you who are not aware of tripccode exception, it allows posters with a specific tripcode to post without filling in the captcha field. I'll use Sling as an example for how to enable it:

how do i report posts on wakachan (or more specifically, /fate/)? There has been a rash of nasty spam and it hasn't disappeared. And the board moves slow enough (not a problem) that it's still there days later (kind of a problem).
Is the best route for this kind of stuff just to email the admin?
