I can possibly host bijin myself if I can get a walkthrough somewhere on moving/backing up (and enough time to register a domain name somewhere). If someone else wants to volunteer to host /bijin/, they need to be comfortable giving me FTP access to the server so that I can make changes to things like the rules under the submit box, etc.
I'd be happy to host Type-Moon and maybe Azumanga or any other boards nobody picks up.
Likewise, I'll host any leftover boards that nobody else can or wants to. I have plenty of space/bandwidth for it.
My e-mail is thelilyqueen (gmail) if anyone wants to host it and is willing to give me full access to it. It would really be better if a perl-savvy person is kind enough it; there's a code monkey in the house who could help me in a pinch if I wind up hosting it, but perl is not really his thing.

Dear Admins,
This is a reminder to treat heavy posters well. Please remember when enabling captchas to also put in exemptions for the heavy posters on your board. Not only does it encourage them to keep contributing the content that keeps the board alive, but it's a nice thing to do for people who often have more invested in the board than you do.
I'm bringing this up because it's come to my attention that Sling is having a hard time. All the boards hosted on wakachan.org have had Sling's -- as well as other heavy posters' -- tripcode in an exception to the captcha for years. Apparently I'm the only person doing this, which is not good.
For those of you who are not aware of tripccode exception, it allows posters with a specific tripcode to post without filling in the captcha field. I'll use Sling as an example for how to enable it:

I ban people for posting that crud. They don't offer anything whatsoever, bump relevant and interesting posts off the board, and also it's generally far too easy to acquire the IP address of the person who posted the link.

A random password is generated for you and saved in a cookie when you post. So long as you're on the same machine you should be able to delete. If you lose that cookie, you can't. Other people cannot either.

Fixed.
IIchan is really a bunch of loosely-connected boards. Some are hosted on wakachan.org, some on iichan.net, and many elsewhere. Wakachan.org and iichan.net both provide links to all these boards, so if one goes down, the other is still there.
I like to think of us as a collection of affiliated boards, though affiliation has a connotation that some find distasteful.

Niche Fetish uses a modified wakaba script, and the way that deletion works means I had to disable it to allow for posting forms on each thread.
