I've got a closet full of painted Scorpion Clan war mini's. Then after my buddy painted them for me, my gaming group broke apart, think I would have learned my leason, but now i play D&D Mini's.
On a related note, AEG has printed 3ed rules for L5R. WHich in my oppinion worked a bunch better then the d20 system it got turned into when Wizards of the coast bought the liscence.

Daemonhosts tie up heavy weapons while stormtrooper squads and your HQ(inq Lord) ride around in rhino's; disembark; shoot/assault the shit out of something; rinse repeat. all while the inducted guard's heavy weapons fuck up anything at range.

I play Vampire Counts. I almost always use Von Carsteins. I have undead Empire theme.

I only recently learned that Sylvania's heraldry is purple/black, not red/black. I'm either going to gradually add more purple, or just strip the paint and make them into living Empire soldiers. I'm getting a little tired of the army after all.

Empire, particularly the new less shitty empire is by far the best and most balanced army. (if you dont run a tank) You get shitty but seminumerous troops, good knights, good shooting, and the game's best artillery.
