I get those same short loops over and over. They're usually atonal or bizarre, but melodic/catchy.. just these minimal patterns. I haven't had it happen for a while though. The best way I can describe it is little ditties alike the GameBoy Camera's soundtrack.

Yes, but I usually forget essential parts of the song by the time I sit down to track. Occasionally, I'll capture a fragment.

Just this morning, I was sleeping in the bed. And right at that moment, I was having a dream. In the dream I was using some kind of machine... it had the feeling of being something along the lines of those toy crane machines. Like you'd win toys or stuff. It was related to sonic somehow. And while this was happening, some music was playing in the dream. I remembered the music, so I made this midi file.

I had another case of music playing in my dream. In this dream, I was in my bedroom, and noticed something like a cockroach on the floor. Then it moved a bit, and I realized it was a bird. I had birds trapped in my room, and they couldn't get out.
I was frightened of the birds, and I wanted to get rid of them but I couldn't easily move due to sleep paralysis or something.
While I moved around my dream, trying to beat the birds away, this music was playing in a loop.

What strange dreams.

I had a dream in July 2010 in which this music played. While the music was playing, I saw a group of children standing, facing the same direction. The perspective I saw them from was changing gradually, like I was rotating around them slowly, and as I moved, they seemed to grow older and older, become adults.

I had a dream about playing a Gameboy Advance game with a character from a manga that I was reading. I think it also featured Harry Potter in some way. When I woke up, this music was playing in my head.

I had a dream that I was at a party. My brother was there somehow. For some reason, I had my camera with me but it wasn't working. Then it started working, and for some reason it was time to leave the party and this music started playing.

I dreamed that I was eating some kind of caramel flavored powder or something. This music was playing.

In my dream, there was an amateur Japanese band playing a song that had no vocals. It sounded like this:

For some reason, I dreamed about My Little Pony even though I've only ever watched one episode. Then things changed suddenly, and this music started playing. It even seemed to have lyrics, "where the devil at" for the first few notes, then after that I don't remember there being any lyrics. I think this was somehow inspired by the song "Where the hood at".

I had a dream that I climbed in through the window to a guy's room. He was either my friend Deven Gallo, or Jimmy Wales, or a cross between the two. He told me about how he carries weapons to protect himself from the dangers he faces (as a result of being famous, I felt/thought). I was allowed to look at some of his weapons (some big guns) but I wasn't allowed to touch them. This music played at some point during the dream.

I once had a dream where my finger got cut off somehow. I was in a hurry to get to a hospital to have it reattached. This music was playing.

My memory of this dream is very weak, but I remember that there was some action going on. I remember jumping down from a tall wall while this music was playing.

Around the time I had this dream, I had just bought a handheld game console. In the dream I remember giving it to my brother (I think) to look at. I don't remember exactly, but I think I asked him to return it in one piece, or he said he would return it in one piece. This music was playing in the dream.

I have a song that I sometimes play on the guitar. A few months ago it showed up in my dream, but it sounded significantly different from how I usually play it on the guitar. This MIDI file is how it sounded in my dream.

Last night, I dreamt I was listening to a song by Mr. May -- not a real one, I think, just something made up in the dream. It was rather downbeat, and I began singing the beginning of this song by Mr. Keenes over it. I thought that the two would make a very good mashup. Unfortunately, I couldn't remember the other song when I woke up.

Had a dream in which I met Riyu Kosaka, my first-grade classroom had a bike with clicky buttons, and "Jumpstart" and "The Wizard of Id" both contained references to Haruhi. At one point the phone rang, and this song played (even though it was a landline phone).
