That there is no NSF.

Not really 'syncd' per-say, but it's keeping up just fine. DS-10 + ESX + KP3...short, live...

Will upgrade to DS-10+ when it comes out so i can do something a little less repeatative. :)

>> No.10027

damn, i didn't know there was going to be a ds-10+. now i have a reason to hold off on getting one for a little longer...

>> No.10028

wait, looks like it's DSi only... damn

>> No.10030

It's not DSi only. It's still an improvement over the original version even on a DSLite...DSi just has the dual mode that DSLite won't have. It's still worth a purchase, if you ask me. Many more performance options and pure sequencing options for regular tune building...

>> No.10031

ah, that's pretty reassuring.

(although I actually have the original DS instead of a DS lite, but I assume that wouldn't matter unless the two have hardware differences that I don't know about)

>> No.10041

Man, I haven't had much luck with the DS-10 myself. I used up 12/16 available patterns just making one melody, and the only way to play the whole melody back is in the sequencer so you can't play with it "live"...DS-10 just isn't designed for sequencing, I guess, just playing around with short loops.

Anyway, enough of my ranting, good job on this. Glad that the tempos stayed together.

>> No.10044

@ agargara -> DS-10 plus unlocks the song mode so you can chain stuff for a melody and still play around with fx/tracks. Songs even save track mutes in them. As well, when you chain patterns, you can record across them too. :) I believe they updated it to 32 patterns, but I dont know if you need DSi for 32 patterns or not.

>> No.10045

>>10044

If I recall correctly, their promo video says it needs the DSi...

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=c_4YOTTiIME

Hmm, looks like that's only for the double synth action. It looks like for both DS and DSi, you get the realtime editing and better song mode.

Most of you probably familiar with Facebook – the unsinkable flagship, the mother of all social networks around the world, but it won't be our focus today. Three years ago Russian comrades took a look at Facebook and decided that: “The hell with it.... We will build our own with “blackjack and hookers!” Three years went by, and a social network known as VKontakte appears with no less than 45 million users. Wait! Don't discard VKontakte yelling who needs it if we have Facebook because I will explain why you do need it.
It is a known fact that on the streets of Russia there are bears roaming freely with balalaika's and cap hats which is probably the reason why copyright fighters haven't come to Russia yet... ATTENTION!!!! In VKontakte social network you will find multi-million library containing free mp3 files, you can listen on-line to whatever you feel like without any limitations, and believe me, there is plenty to listen to (take a look at the screen shot bellow). It is unbelievably simple – following the registration (absolutely free) in the search field simply enter audio files search, and VIOLA, you have found your happiness! I suppose advanced users don't need an explanation as to how files are downloaded.

Requesting your most 'difficult' songs. What I mean is songs that were either extremely hard to find or very hard to make, nothing you could get off of p2p or such Basically anything that if your harddrive crashed and you had no backups of the song, you would probably never hear it again.

Included with some versions of the game Exile II: Crystal Souls years and years ago was a file called "carthag.mod" (or maybe it was an s3m.) It disappeared later and I haven't been able to find it since.

>> No.5400

Oh oh oh! Yeeeeeeeeeeeeeeaaaaaaaaaaaah.... It's me, >>5392 again. I just realised that another thing that was really hard for me to find was this file I posted a few days ago:
>>5361

Back when I was very young, my family had some Acorn computers. There was small public domain game, "Wizard", which my sister really liked. It had that music in it.

I could never find that music. I had been looking for it for years. And then a couple of nights ago it popped into my mind again, and I did a quick google search and then it just turned up on the second page or something.
I scoured through old module archives for years trying to find it, and then I got it within minutes on one night using google.

>> No.5401

Well, if I had all the songs I used to have, they wouldn't be hard to find, now, would they? The one I wish MOST to find again is a song by Sarin (.it format) released on an old group that I can't remember the name of and the song had a sample of some guy saying "yes it's friday waating!" or something like that...wish I still had that song. Was one of my first confrontations with dnb made on the computer and I could see how it was done...I think kjwise was on that label too...

Lawl super Mario World.

The songs I miss the most (And haven't been able to find), are remixes of the entire SMW sound track. It had a very Katamari-Damacy feel to it, with lots of acapella stuff, and more classic band instruments (Like guitars and real drum sets and such).

Anyone have any idea what the hell I am talking about?

If my hard-drive were to catastrophically fail, I would likely loose any song I downloaded from newgrounds that got deleted without being reported in the audio portal cleanup thread(with source). Like this nice 'generic superhero action' theme-song.
