Several years ago I have posted on this board with a request for song ID. I had no recording, and only a memory of the tune in my mind. I was plagued by lack of sufficient technology- it was to my chagrin that I found that not only had my request not been answered, but also adding insult to injury, someone had remixed by bad recording in a clandestine fashion! The last straw came several years later- as the great man i am today, borne of advanced recording technology, I had re-recorded that whimsical tune using faculties of my imagination, only to find that this board had rejected my original post when I tried to upload it! But no, I shall make no such mistake again, my friend! The name of this song, what say you, citizens of this board?!!

For some background information, I heard this song firstly from a friend's rap (he got the background music from some site, doesn't know the source himself), and secondly on some episode of 'My Name is Earl'. I have found a list of all the songs in 'My Name is Earl' and will go through each one separately to try and find the song. http://tviv.org/My_Name_Is_Earl/Music

Finally after three years I have found it. Here is my story and the song I found: http://whimsicalstar.wordpress.com/2011/01/30/song-finding/

First attempt at Sunvox, going for a old school trancey dub feel.
Opinions?
(May need headphones for it is most deep bass, laptop speakers with no bass may struggle)

Any Cubase fags out there? Need help bad.

I havn't used this program in years and when I did know how to use it I knew my stuff very vaguely so treat me like a noob.

I've set up Cubase 4 with a small yamaha mixer (non automated) and have set up the buses for it to run through the mixer (although i have changed it back to the pc soundcard) The problem is that cubase seems to have changed FUCKING EVERYTHING and now the only sound I can get is the live playback from whatever ive got plugged into the desk. No sound is working on any other program and I cannot get recorded playback. Anyone got any tips?

>> No.11264

>> No.11265

No sound while cubase works or no sound at all? Sometimes cubase likes to take all resources, i had similar shit with lexicon's external audio cards. Try to force it to use, i dont know, soundcard only, it's been ages since i last used that thing, and it really did make more shit than it's worth...

MilkyTracker for damn near everything.

Combine with Schism and IT2NSF for XM to IT conversion and NSF export respectively.

klystracker and Deflemask are both great tools.

klystracker is very sid-like and has xm/mod/ahx import.
Deflemask is a tracker for an absolute basketfull of soundchips, from the Genesis and GB's soundchips to obscure cellphone chips!

(I'm not sure about module import/export in Deflemask though)

Both are free too :3

It's a ROOM, less than 20 square meters overall, and it costs me about 120 $ a month. Add electrical and some other bills, and it gets to about 150 $. Food and other shit, fuel, etc and im left with nothing. Oh yeah, i work overtime and still cant "tie all loose knots". I live in Serbia. Happy times :}
