The character design and the later added animation sequences were done by Akira, yes, but no it is not Dragon Ball Z or any other incarnation of such.

And before 7-tards break in on it "stealing elements of storyline from FF7"... The director of FF7 stopped working on 7 to work on this and put things that were originally made for 7 into this game, it was supposed to be used in this game and a new story added for 7 but the head of the FF team at the time wanted the story he was told he would get.

Thus, 7's "wonderful story" was used twice but was technically this game's story before it became the driving force of FF7.

Sorry, my mistake, 1999A.D. is when Lavos oblitterates the world, you didn't even make it there, you only got to 2300A.D., in which you saw the destuction of the world and most likely ran to mommy because you didn't pick this game up till it was on the Playstation and were scared out of your diapers about Y2K.

I only have one complaint about this remake. With all of Squares other remakes (FFI, FFII, FFIII, FFIV), they upped the graphics, improved the sound, and made the game look, feel, and sound much better than the original, or so I'm told. Yet, they've done nothing with CT except port it. No improved graphics (which could be a downside, but if done right, it would make it epic), no improved audio (its the PSP and DS for goodness sake), no improved anything really. Just another port.

Thats my only complaint. Of course, someone in Square probably believes a gem like this should not be fucked with, and part of me agrees.
