Level * 2 = Attack power
Level = Defense
Level / 3 = Maximum hits per round (without FAST)

I think this is only true in the NES version of FF1 and only if you don't have armor equipped on a Black Belt when is gaining an exp. levels as this causes them to gain armor rating (or ABSORB as the game itself says) on their own.

Pretty much. The GBA version was so fricking easy, I was thoroughly disappointed.

You can rape everything but those token magic vulnerable enemies with good physical attacks. I was surprised how fast I got through the last dungeon. Don't bother with the black mage. Unless you're going for a challenge. Get a red mage Those high-level black magics aren't that useful, especially with those level-specific magic points. And having an extra healer is much more important.

Ok I REALLY take my time on the FF games. I do EVERYTHING! And even I have played FF VII 3 times through (2 times on PS and once on
PC) and am in the midst of playing again for the fourth time (pc)! I have also played all the FF except for 2 which I'm also in the middle of! And have played CT. From my point of view, I'd play Chrono! Be aware there are ALOT of different endings that can occur, depending on certain criteria, and that to view all takes a few hundred hours of play time! But in my opinion, very worth the time!

Well, this is two difficult choices... because:

1. Both have multiple ending
2. Both have great storyline
3. Both have great chara design

But, while FF6 has a few endings (maybe two?), but Chrono Trigger has 11 (or not 12)... So pick your choice.

It's either bullshit or misunderstanding: FF6 only has one ending however the scenes on it have slight variations based on whether or not you refound your party member in World of Ruin.

Chrono Trigger actually has 13 endings and if you play through on new game + you can get most of them in order without having to play over and over:

01 Beyond Time - Beat Lavos at the end of the game
02 Reunion - Beat Lavos while Chrono is 'dead'
03 The Dream Project - Beat Lavos in the Black Omen OR right after Marle joins your party (New Game+ only)
04 Successor of Guardia - Beat Lavos as soon as you return from 600 AD [right telepod, again - only new game +]
05 Good Night - Beat Lavos as soon as you get to the End of Time [use bucket]

and most of the space is taken up by low-to-uncompressed HD FMVs on the Bluray. The actual game itself (with engine, AI, text and sound) is only about 8 GB, the rest is FMVs and textures, which are uncompressed on PS3 and highly compressed on X360 to fit in "only" 3 DVDs.
