My Furball is just shy of 20. he's showing his age though.

Think of all the stories he could tell.

We had a cat named Gabriel and he lived for almost 18 1/2 years.. from before i was in school to when i was in my senior year in high school. best damn cat ever.. if someone strange walked in... he would run up to them and greet them while the others would run off and hide.
he was the worlds most friendly cat, and always came when you called him. he used to wake me up by licking my head... lol i miss him.

That makes me think. How do cats identify individual people? My cat is fearless around me and my family, but if a stranger so much as walks into the front room, he runs and hides.

I've read in the news today that is now normal that cats and dogs surpass 14 years of life :3

I had a cat live to 20-21, who died recently, I think its just genetics, get a non-purebred cat or dog and its genetically stronger

I went to a mom n' pop store 15 years ago. They had a cat sitting in a chair that was 26 years and counting. I was 23 at the time and couldn't believe the cat was older than me lol.
